Searching for the real Magic in Lapland, magician Henri Kemppainen visits some of the most enchanting places in Finland, learning about ancient shamans and spirits as he travels along.
Henri Kemppainen is an awarded Finnish illusionist and entertainer. His career was sparked at the age of 5, when he first saw The Paul Daniels Magic Show on TV.
Henri is knowN for his mesmerising close-up magic as well as breathtaking illusions. He has performed in several international arenas, including Abu Dhabi. Henri is a wanted host and performer due to his energetic and entertaining personality.
During his career, Henri has educated and trained himself in close-up magic in Las Vegas. He awarded performer/artist of the Year 2016 by the Finnish Evento Awards. Henri has also been awarded twice by the Finnish Magic Circle.
Christian Engblom is Henri Kemppainen’s mentor and consultant. Engblom has acted as a technical advisor to TV magician legend David Blaine and performs regularly at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. He has also performed in American magician-comedian duo Penn & Teller’s TV show Penn and Teller: Fool Us.
After a successful career of 23 years, Engblom still studies the field of magic and makes study trips around the world. He also educates colleagues in the mysteries of magic. He is The Finnish Magic Circle’s Magician of the Year 2015 and close-up Finnish Champion 2003.
Executive Producer Teemu Hostikka is a northern shaman of TV production. In 2017, the TV series created and produced by him, Love of the Wild, won the Finnish TV Academy’s Program of the Year Award. Love of the Wild is a series dedicated to Finnish nature, starring fishermen, hunters and nature lovers from different parts of Finland. The first two seasons of the series have been sold into more than 30 European countries. The 4th season of the series is currently in production.
